Scholarships

Each year, our Branch engages in fundraising efforts such as the Authors Luncheon and Comedy Club and Magic Night.  During and since the pandemic, in lieu of the Comedy Club, we switched to Spring Virtual Fundraising Campaign, which have been successful. Authors Luncheon became highly popular  Afternoon Tea with the Author where we invite and highlight local writers to share their stories and writing experiences with the community.   Such fundraising efforts are wonderful opportunities for our Branch members, supporters, and the community at large to gather over a meal and laughs, while exchanging ideas in the creative arts and literature.  All proceeds go toward scholarships for local young women and girls with an emphasis on STEM programs, such as:

    • Annual $2000 Scholarship to graduating Tech Trek Alumnae continuing to higher education
    • Support for our Tech Trek Alumni Group (TTAG)
    • Software for our mentoring program KBUG
    • Leadership Training for students to attend AAUW National’s Conference, National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) https://www.aauw.org/resources/events/nccwsl/
